Great defense leads Kings to 93-80 victory over Clippers

The Kings rose up in the 4th quarter and outscored the Clippers 23-13 to seal a victory on Tuesday Night.  The Kings held the Clippers to 30.6% from the floor.

Ron Artest was on fire with 28 points and 8 rebounds.  Mike Bibby directed the offense well with 19 points, 7 rebounds and 10 assists.  Brad Miller added 12 points and 8 rebounds in his first game back from an injury.  Kenny Thomas scored 8 points and grabbed 9 rebounds.

The Kings moved to 8-5 on the season with this victory.

Kings have great first half and cruise to 105-85 victory over Blazers

The Kings dominated the first half Saturday, as they were winning 65-43 at the half and then cruised on to victory.  The Kings also out-rebounded the Blazers 39-28.

Kevin Martin was outstanding with 27 points.  Mike Bibby added 20 points.  Shareef Abdur-Rahim had a decent game with 13 points and 5 rebounds.  John Salmons was busy with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists.  Corliss Williamson was solid off the bench with 10 points.  Kenny Thomas was active inside with 7 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists.

The Kings improved to 7-5 on the season.

Hot-shooting Kings prevail over Sonics 109-100

The Kings shot 51.2% from the floor as a team on Friday and that led them to victory.  Kevin Martin led the way with 35 points and 4 rebounds.  Mike Bibby was busy with 19 points, 6 assists and 4 steals.  Kenny Thomas was strong in the paint with 13 points and 14 rebounds.  Corliss Williamson had a solid game off the bench with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.  Shareef Abdur-Rahim had a decent game with 14 points and 8 rebounds.  John Salmons had a good game with 12 points, 5 assists and 5 steals.

The Kings improved to 6-5 on the season with this solid road win.

Utah punks the Kings in the 4th quarter as Jazz win 110-101

The Kings had to feel good about their chances heading into the 4th quarter with an 84-71 lead.  They soon found out that no lead is safe against the Utah Jazz.  The Jazz outscored the Kings 39-17 in the 4th quarter to win the game.  The Kings didn’t play good defense as the Jazz hit 54.8% of their shots from the floor.  The Jazz also out-rebounded the Kings 48-34!

Kevin Martin continued his fine play this season with 24 points and 8 rebounds.  Ron Artest had a stat sheet stuffer with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 4 steals.  Ronnie Price added 16 points off the bench.  Mike Bibby was a little off last night with only 12 points.  Abdur-Rahim was solid with 11 points and 8 rebounds.  Kenny Thomas was a little soft with 10 points, 4 rebounds and 5 assists.

The Kings fall to 5-5 on the season.

Kings can’t stop Duncan and fall 108-99 to Spurs

Tim Duncan was unstoppable with 35 points and 14 rebounds on Sunday Night.  No matter what the Kings tried, they couldn’t stop him.

Ron Artest led the way for the Kings with 22 points & 5 rebounds.  Kevin Martin had a good game too with 20 points and 5 rebounds.  Shareef Abdur-Rahim had a solid game in the paint with 16 points and 12 rebounds.  Mike Bibby (16 points, 4 assists) and Corliss Williamson (12 points, 5 rebounds) each played well on offense for the Kings.

The Kings fell to 5-4 on the season with this loss.
