Kings blow out the Hawks 117-92

The Kings were outrebounded 41-29 by the Hawks, but it didn’t matter because the Kings shot 57.3% from the floor.  Brad Miller led the Kings with 19 points and 4 rebounds.  Mike Bibby (16 points), Kevin Martin (14 points) and Shareef Abdur-Rahim (11 points) all played well for the offense.  John Salmons (14 points, 5 rebounds) and Corliss Williamson (18 points, 5 rebounds) both played great off the bench.

The Kings improved to 9-10 on the season with this win.

Kings poor shooting cost them in 93-91 OT loss to Heat

The Kings only shot 36.1% from the floor last night and it cost them the game.  Mike Bibby led the way for the Kings with 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists.  Brad Miller had his first real good game of the season with 15 points, 8 rebounds and 4 assists.  Ron Artest added 15 points and 4 rebounds.  Kenny Thomas provided the muscle with 9 points and 12 rebounds.  Kevin Martin was a little off, as he only scored 13 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.

The Kings fell to 8-10 with this loss.

Suns crush the Kings 127-102

The Kings made a huge mistake and started a small line-up to combat the Suns instead of just playing their best players.  Mike Bibby had a decent game with 21 points, 6 rebounds and 7 assists.  Kevin Martin added 13 points.  John Salmons scored 11 points and grabbed 4 rebounds.  Shareef Abdur-Rahim (12 points, 7 rebounds), Francisco Garcia (11 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists) and Corliss Williamson (11 points, 5 rebounds) each produced off the bench.

The Kings have fell to 8-9 on the season with this loss.

Kings lose a tough one 92-89 to the Magic

Jameer Nelson hit a 3-pointer with a couple of seconds left to doom the Kings.  The Kings didn’t shoot too well, only hitting 39.5% of their shots from the floor.  They also had problems on defense as the Magic hit 52.9% of their shots.

Mike Bibby led the way with 19 points and 7 assists.  John Salmons scored 16 points and grabbed 6 rebounds.  Kevin Martin added 16 points.  Brad Miller was solid off the bench with 14 points and 7 rebounds.  Kenny Thomas only scored 5 points, but he grabbed 14 rebounds and stole the ball 5 times.

The Kings have fallen to 8-8 on the season.

Kevin Martin is steppin up this season

Kevin Martin has been awesome for the Kings this season and is the main reason that they have been successful so far this season.  Martin is averaging 22.9 points, 4.5 rebounds, 1.9 assists and 1.5 steals per game so far this season.  Martin is great in the open floor, but his best skill is his shooting.  Martin is hitting 54.1% from the floor, 50% from 3-point range (28-56) and 90.4% from the free-throw line.

Kings get busted up in Texas over the weekend and lose both games

The Kings got blasted 109-90 on Friday Night in Dallas.  Then on Saturday the Kings got beat 100-98 in San Antonio.

Kevin Martin continued his fine play this season and averaged 21.5 points per game.  John Salmons averaged 12.0 points per game.  Mike Bibby averaged 10.0 points and 6.0 assists per game.  Ron Artest played in only one of the games, but he scored 15 points and grabbed 5 rebounds.

The Kings are now 8-7 on the season.
