Mike Bibby has been playing this season with a bum thumb and it’s been negatively effecting his shooting touch as he’s only hit 39.2% of his shots from the floor. The Kings need him to shoot better because he’s always been a shoot first point guard that has been an important scorer for the team. He’s still averaging 18.2 points per game, but he’s had to gun the ball alot to get those points. He also is averaging 3.7 rebounds, 5.8 assists and 1.2 steals per game this season.
Ronnie Price has been the backup most of the season, but he’s only playing 9.7 minutes per game. He’s also much more interested in shooting than passing and he’s only hit 42% of his shots this season. He’s averaging 3.4 points, 1.1 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game this season.
Jason Hart is buried on the depth chart. He’s only played in 12 games and has averaged only 8.1 minutes per game. For the season Hart has averaged 3.6 points, 1.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.
If the Kings are going to improve on offense they need their point guards to shoot better seeing how none of them is a pure point guard.
