The Kings played lousy in the 1st half last night but they outscored the Heat 71-40 in the 2nd half to surge to victory. Ron Artest led the way for the Kings with 32 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Kevin Martin also had a solid game as he finished up with 29 points and 4 rebounds. Beno Udrih did a good job of running the offense as he finished with 23 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists and 3 steals. The Kings are now 27-32 on the season.

The Sacramento Kings waive Tyronn Lue

The Kings have waived guard Tyronn Lue before he even played in a game for them. He had been nursing a minor injury when he came to the Kings who have decided that they didn’t want to wait for him to get healthy. They will just give the minutes he would have gotten to John Salmons and Francisco Garcia.

Spencer Hawes looks like the center of the future for the Sacramento Kings

Spencer Hawes will have to bide his time behind Brad Miller who has been outstanding this season. Hawes has played in 50 games (0 starts) for the Kings this season and he is averaging 9.0 minutes, 3.4 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.3 assists per game. He is shooting 45.6% from the floor and 75.8% from the free throw line this season. Hawes looks like the future starting center for the Kings as he has done a decent job as a backup this season.

Dallas Mavericks 115, Sacramento Kings 106

The Kings just flat out couldn’t keep up with the Mavericks on Friday Night. Kevin Martin led the way for the Kings with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Beno Udrih had a solid game running the show as he finished with 25 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Ron Artest stuffed the stat sheet with 22 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocked shots. The Kings are now 26-32 on the season.
