Starting power forward Jason Thompson is really stepping up his game this season. He has played in 22 games (all starts) for the Kings this season and he is averaging 34.0 minutes, 14.9 points, 9.1 rebounds and 2.1 assists per game. One of the biggest reasons for the Kings play this season has been Thompson who is really hitting the boards hard at both ends of the court. The Kings really have the look of a team that could compete for a playoff spot this season as long as they stay healthy, especially Thompson.
