The Sacramento Kings have a couple of nice trading chips

The Kings season has fallen apart but they might be players next week in the trade market. SG Kevin Martin is the big chip they have that they could move but forward Andres Nocioni could appeal to a team needing help off the bench like the Grizzlies. Martin has played in 20 games (19 starts) for the Kings this season and he is averaging 36.2 minutes, 20.8 points, 4.4 rebounds, 2.7 assists and 1.2 steals per game. He would likely bring the Kings back a very nice ransom because of his age (27) and ability. Nocioni has played in 51 games (21 starts) for the Kings this season and he is averaging 20.5 minutes, 9.0 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.1 assists per game. He brings a lot of energy off the bench and he might garner a nice little draft pick from a needy team.

Donte’ Greene is starting to step up for the Sacramento Kings

2nd year forward Donte’ Greene has been really solid lately for the Kings. In his last three games, Greene is averaging 33.0 minutes, 18.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. Overall, Greene has played in 45 games (31 starts) for the Kings this season and he is averaging 21.3 minutes, 8.7 points, 3.0 rebounds and 1.0 assist per game. Look for Greene’s minutes to increase the rest of this season if he keeps playing like he is right now.

Kenny Thomas is still buried on the bench for the Sacramento Kings

I don’t know who 32-year old forward Kenny Thomas pissed off but he is in the Dog House for the second year in a row. He has played in 26 games (2 starts) for the Kings this season and he is averaging 12.0 minutes, 1.6 points, 3.3 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. Thomas is shooting 48.6% from the floor and he can still rebound. With that in mind I wonder if the Kings will try to make a team take him along with Kevin Martin if they decide to trade him at the deadline.
