The Kings got run out of the gym last night by the Nets.  Tyreke Evans led the way for the Kings last night with 23 points, 6 rebounds, 5 assists and 4 steals.  DeMarcus Cousins (14 points, 9 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots) and Marcus Thornton (13 points, 8 rebounds and 1 assist) also had rock solid games last night.  Isaiah Thomas (11 points) and Jason Thompson (10 points and 10 rebounds) also pitched in for the Kings last night.  The Kings are now 18-34 on the year.

The Kings have re-signed 24-year old SG/SF Terrence Williams for the remainder of the season.  Williams has played in 4 games (0 starts) for the Kings so far this year and he is averaging 16.0 minutes, 7.5 points, 3.3 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.0 steal per game.  The Kings like what they see out of Williams so far, so it was a no brainer to re-sign him for the rest of the year.

The Kings outscored the Jazz 24-19 in the 4th quarter to surge to an impressive road win last night.  The Kings held the Jazz to a paltry 35.2% shooting from the floor and it was a big reason for the win last night.  DeMarcus Cousins (27 points, 14 rebounds, 3 assists, 3 steals and 2 blocked shots) and Marcus Thornton (26 points, 6 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal) led the way for the Kings last night.  Isaiah Thomas (19 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals) and Donte’ Greene (10 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot in only 16 minutes on the floor) also had solid games for the Kings last night.  The Kings are now 18-33 on the year.

San Antonio Spurs 117, Sacramento Kings 112

The Kings shot 54.7% from the floor but they didn’t play any D and it killed them in the end last night.  Isaiah Thomas led the way for the Kings with 28 points, 4 rebounds, 10 assists and 1 steal.  DeMarcus Cousins also had a monster game with 25 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot last night.  Marcus Thornton (18 points, 2 rebounds, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot) and Jason Thompson (15 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 3 steals and 3 blocked shots) also had rock solid games for the Kings last night.  The Kings are now 17-33 on the year.

25-year old power forward Jason Thompson has played in 47 games (31 starts) so far this year for the Kings and he is averaging 28.7 minutes, 9.9 points, 8.4 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.  In his 31 starts for the Kings so far, he is averaging 24.9 minutes, 8.7 points, 6.9 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.  Thompson got his big chance this year due to the injury to Chuck Hayes, but he has been good enough to keep the job.

The Kings were outscored 14-7 in O.T. last night and it did them in.  DeMarcus Cousins led the way for the Kings last night with 38 points, 14 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot.  Marcus Thornton also had a solid game with 27 points, 3 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals.  Tyreke Evans (12 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists, 6 steals and 1 blocked shot) and Terrence Williams (10 points, 3 rebounds and 2 steals in 17 minutes on the floor) also pitched in for the Kings last night.  The Kings are now 17-32 on the year.

The Kings outrebounded the Warriors 47-39 but it wasn’t good enough last night.  DeMarcus Cousins led the way for the Kings with 28 points, 18 rebounds, 5 assists, 1 steal and 3 blocked shots.  John Salmons also had a solid game with 17 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in 33 minutes last night.  Marcus Thornton (16 points), Tyreke Evans (16 points) and Isaiah Thomas (12 points) also pitched in for the Kings last night.  The Kings are now 17-31 on the year.

Utah Jazz 103, Sacramento Kings 102

The Kings outrebounded the Jazz 55-45 last night but it didn’t matter.  Tyreke Evans (25 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 steals) and DeMarcus Cousins (22 points, 18  rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals) led the way for the Kings last night.  Jason Thompson also had an outstanding game with 19 points, 15 rebounds, 1 assist, 2 steals and 1 blocked shot last night.  Marcus Thornton pitched in with 16 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists last night.  The Kings finished up with a 17-30 record last night.

The Kings have signed 24-year old SG/SF Terrence Williams to a 10-day contract.  Williams played in 12 games (0 starts) for the Rockets this year and he averaged 15.1 minutes, 4.5 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.8 assists per game.  He has now played in 111 games (9 starts) in his first three years in the NBA and he is averaging 20.1 minutes, 7.4 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.4 assists per game.  He has not been much of a shooter so far in his NBA career as he is hitting only 39.4% from the floor, 31.9% from the three point line and 69.5% from the free throw line.  Still, he has a nice upside if he can focus on his play on the court.

The Kings outscored the T-Wolves 58-42 in the second half last night to surge to victory.  Marcus  Thornton (24 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal) and Isaiah Thomas (18 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal) led the way for the Kings in this game.  John Salmons (15 points, 1 rebound, 3 assists and 1 steal), Jason Thompson (13 points, 10 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal), Chuck Hayes (12 points, 8 rebounds, 2 assists, 1 steal and 2 blocked shots) and Donte’ Greene (11 points, 7 rebounds and 1 blocked shot) also had rock solid games for the Kings last night.  The Kings are now 16-29 on the year.
