With under 9 minutes to play in the 3rd quarter, and the Sacramento Kings (13-14) down 79-44 against the Chicago Bulls (10-16), most Kings fans probably turned the game off.  Well, those fans are probably kicking themselves now, since the Kings came back from a 35-point deficit to win the game.  The Kings were a completely different team in the second half, and like usual the rookie Tyreke Evans led the Kings.  He had 23 points, 8 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals and took over in the 4th quarter.  Evans helped the Kings outscore the Bulls 33-10 in the fourth quarter.  Luol Deng led the Bulls with 26 points, 5 rebounds, and 2 assists.  Evans hit a key jumper over Deng late in the game.  The Kings obviously buckled down defensively too, forcing the Bulls into 18 second half turnovers after the Bulls had zero in the first half.  Ime Udoka had a very nice game off the bench for the Kings, going for 17 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist, and 1 steal in only 23 minutes of play.  This was the biggest come-back win in the NBA since 1996, and the Kings showed great character by not giving up.

The Kings appeared to want this game a little more than the Bucks did last night. Tyreke Evans showed last night that he was the best rookie on the floor with 24 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and 2 steals. Jason Thompson had another great game with 22 points, 10 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocked shots. Beno Udrih pitched in with 16 points, 1 rebound and 3 assists off the bench. The Kings are now 12-14 on the year.

The Kings didn’t play any defense as the T-Wolves shot 54.7% from the floor nor did they hit the boards as the Wolves outrebounded them 47-37 which explains the loss. Omri Casspi led the way for the Kings tonight with 21 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 2 steals. Jason Thompson had another solid game at center with 18 points, 9 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocked shots. Beno Udrih pitched in with 18 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. The Kings are now 11-14 on the year.

Sacramento Kings 112, Washington Wizards 109

The rookie Tyreke Evans (7-16) made a great defensive play for the Sacramento Kings (11-13) to seal the victory over the Washington Wizards.  With the clock winding down at the end of the game, the Wizards’ star Gilbert Arenas had Evans isolated at the top of the key and Evans picked his pocket.  It was a very clean steal and Evans calmly knocked down the two free throws to help seal the win.  Evans finished the game with 26 points, 6 assists, 6 rebounds, 2 blocks, and that big steal at the end of the game.  Andres Nocioni also had a nice game for the Kings, giving them 20 points, 6 rebounds, 2 assists, and 1 steal.  Arenas led the Wizards with 33 points, 6 rebounds, and 6 assists.  This was an exciting win for the Kings and it was a great play by their star rookie.
